Dr. Chu has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, allowing him to incorporate all the latest techniques and procedures into his practice. You can rest assured that Dr. Chu and his staff are trained to the highest standards with these latest techniques.

At what age should my children first see the dentist?

The American Dental Association recommends that children first see the dentist at the age of 1 year. To start off, children usually accompany parents on one of their visits, simply to get acquainted with us. We let them see the office, ride up and down in the dental chair, and give them a prize so they go home with a happy memory. Once they become used to coming in and feel comfortable with us, they can be treated without fear.

Do you accept my insurance plan?

We accept all insurance plans in which patients can choose their dentist (not HMO's). If you are not sure, please feel free to call our office and we will be happy to verify your insurance for you.

What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

We provide an emergency telephone number that connects directly to the dentist, so help is always available.

What payment options do you provide?

We accept all major credit cards, plus we offer a special dental credit card patients can use.

How can I safely whiten my teeth?

We offer a home bleaching system that can whiten your teeth by wearing an appliance while you sleep.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

We adhere to the strictest standards of sterilization and infection control procedures. You'll find our operating environment to be spotless and uncluttered. Because we administer intravenous (IV) sedation, we are specially trained in airway management and other emergency procedures, and are equipped with all the monitoring equipment you would find in a hospital operating room.

Can anyone have IV sedation?

Yes, if their health allows. We make this sedation available to any medically fit patient who needs it to undergo a complex procedure, or even a simple procedure if he or she is very anxious. We've even used IV sedation for patients who have a strong gag reflex and needed to have an impression taken. Dr. Chu will discuss your options and help determine whether you are a candidate for IV sedation. If not, we also offer a full "comfort menu" that includes oral sedation and special numbing techniques.
